Medicare Advantage (Part C) is a private version of Medicare or another way to get Parts A and B. If you decide to join a Medicare Advantage plan, you don’t need to carry your Medicare card because you’re now getting your hospital and medical coverage from a private insurance company. When you go to the doctor, you’ll simply show your plan card. It’s a convenient way for plan members to get the care and benefits to which they are entitled.
Speak with a licensed insurance agent today!
Part A is known as hospital insurance and provides coverage for inpatient hospitalization and home care, among other services. Part B covers services like doctor’s visits, preventative treatments, outpatient care, and some medical equipment.
To apply for a Medicare Advantage plan, you must already be enrolled in both parts of Original Medicare. There are specific times when enrollment is open, and you will need to discuss these with your agent, such as the ones with JEMS of Insurance Group. Whether you are enrolling for the first time or switching from another plan to Medicare Advantage, we will be able to guide you every step of the way.
There are different types of plans available, including HMO, PPO, and Special Needs Plans. These types of plans determine your coverage network and how you will access care. The type of plan you have will also determine your out-of-pocket costs.
JEMS of Insurance Group is looking to expand and enrich our dynamic team of insurance agents. We are proud to work with friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable individuals who understand the value of good insurance and the peace of mind it brings. If you are a licensed agent looking for something new and exciting, we would love to speak with you about the opportunities available at JEMS.
